A Pasadena, California native, Jess grew up surrounded by influential architecture and design. "My favorite childhood memories revolve around rearranging furniture with my friends' mothers at sleepovers." Her traditional family home, filled with pedigreed antiques and custom Colefax & Fowler fabrics, married with summers spent in bohemian Laguna Beach, shaped her unique, playful aesthetic.
After graduating from Denison University, Jess moved to Denver in search of an idyllic lifestyle. After tenures at three of Denver's most notable design firms, focusing on both commercial and residential interiors across the country, Jess launched her own business in 2016.
Jess' time abroad helped shape her sense of style, influences her use of color, and developed her understanding of adding depth and layers to a room. "Living in Italy taught me about patina, and how beautiful rooms, filled with quality pieces, can still look spectacular hundreds of years later." Her goals for design are to create spaces that will stand the test of time, enduring different stages in a client's life. She can create rooms that can be grown into, and added to, as one's needs evolve.
Not afraid of mixing the old with the new, the high and low-end, Jess strives to create spaces that are comfortable, unique, and inviting. "Your home should never be too precious that it can't be lived in." With a focus on unexpected color and textile combinations, Jess is able to create residences that emanate fun and sophistication. Based in Denver, Jess is available for projects both in and outside of Colorado.
